LAST MONTH WITH MANJUSHRI (FEB 9th – MAR 6th)

Month three of our Manjushri Retreat allowed for more purification, clarification, practice as well as preparation for upcoming events.

The sun rises dramatically each morning of the retreat.

Kathleen braves the snow and cleans the windows.
We all help clean the meditation hall.
Bhikshuni Tarpa takes special care with the holy objects

The community of sentient beings sharing the retreat space leaves an impression (turkey, squirrel and human tracks).

To conclude the three-month Manjushri Retreat, we invited local retreatants from afar to join us in the Lama Chopa practice.  Venerable Semkye reads the names of our benefactors.

We took this opportunity to thank our friends who supported the retreat by offering food, transportation and running errands.

Venerable Jampel offers them gifts on behalf of the Abbey community.

Retreat participants made a dana offering and also gave Venerable Abbess two translations of Nagarjuna texts that will help with her writing project.

Taking a break from writing, Venerable Abbess took this picture
of our resident acrobatic squirrel.

May all beings benefit from her kindness as much as we all do.
