We’re delighted that the Buddha Hall is coming closer to completion. But as crews move toward the final stages of construction, funds are still needed for the completed Buddha Hall to arise in our midst.

To ensure that comes about, three donors invite us to match their $216,000 Finish the Buddha Hall Challenge, dollar for dollar, offering July 9!

This wonderful challenge extends through the holy days of Saka Dawa (Vesak Day) on May 23, up to Wheel-turning Day on July 9, offering enormous opportunities to make merit.

Our gifts bring so much!

Our gifts will help finish the building itself, giving the Abbey community much needed space so that all of us—residents and guests—can go there to study, meditate, and practice the Dharma.

The Buddha Hall will also provide a home for the statues, paintings, precious texts, and other holy objects that will inspire us and generations to come as we grow our love, compassion, and wisdom and progress on the path.

Scores of designers, consultants, and crews have worked on the Buddha Hall, and more than 2,500 people have made offerings. It is inspiring to join with thousands of people from all over the world to participate in and cheer on this virtuous project!

Finishing the building itself is an important milestone toward consecrating the Buddha Hall. Then together we will celebrate the Buddha Hall together.

Together we’ll finish the Buddha Hall!
