Taiwan Earthquake & the Triple Platform Ordination
Thanks to everyone for your concern about the seven Sravasti Abbey nuns who are presently in Taiwan for the full ordination program at Fo En Si Temple.
We awoke to news of the 7.2 earthquake this morning, along with this email from Ven. Damcho, who is there:
“There was an earthquake of 7.2 in Hualien on the East coast. We were in bhikshuni precepts class, everyone recited Amitabha’s name. All are well.”
Fo En Si, in the west side of the country, is untouched by the major quake on the east coast
UPDATED: If you’d like to support rescue and recovery relief in Taiwan, go to the TzuChi Foundation website to read about their response to the quake and make an offering. This is the link to the U.S. office.
TzuChi Foundation, based in Taiwan, is highly regarded for its response to natural disasters. TzuChi was founded and is still led by an extraordinary bhikshuni, Ven. Master Cheng Yen.
Thanks for your concern. Let’s dedicate merit for the safety of all directly affected by this earthquake in Taiwan.
