Aryadeva’s 400 Stanzas on the Middle Way
Join the Sravasti community for exclusive live-streamed teachings by eminent Tibetan scholar Geshe Yeshe Thabkhe on Aryadeva’s Four Hundred Stanzas on the Middle Way, with Joshua Cutler as his English interpreter.
Aryadeva’s text is a foundational work of Buddhist philosophy. Geshe Thabkhe has been guiding us through Aryadeva’s profound text over several teachings and several years. This teaching will begin with Chapter 13 as he covers the final 100 verses on the Middle Way view.
Geshe Thabkhe is a celebrated scholar and teacher. Born in 1930, he became a monk at 13, trained at Drepung Loseling Monastery in Tibet, and completed his Geshe Lharampa degree in India after escaping the Communist occupation. Geshela is an emeritus professor at the Central University of Tibetan Studies in Sarnath, India.
A dana offering and registration form are requested to reserve your place for the retreat. Teachings will be live-streamed from the Tibetan Buddhist Learning Center in New Jersey, but participants will benefit from the Abbey’s retreat environment and daily meditations, group discussions, and Q&A on the teaching topics.
Commuters are welcomed; partial attendance is possible, but we strongly recommend you come for the whole course.
