Cooling the Fires of Anger
with Ven. Sangye Khadro
October 25 – 27
In person and online
Teachings streamed live on YouTube Discussion groups on Zoom
Anger—we all have it in its many forms, from mild annoyance to full on rage.
Anger is said to be like a fire that’s hard to control. When we fan the flames, it can burn friends and strangers alike. Friendliness, warmth, compassion, and love all seem to vanish when the spark of anger ignites inside us.
But we don’t need to be helpless in the face of it. Buddhism teaches ways to tame this powerful emotion.
In this weekend retreat, senior Buddhist teacher Venerable Sangye Khadro will gently guide an exploration of anger—what it is, its different types, whether it is beneficial or harmful, and strategies we can use to better manage it.
Though teachings, meditation, and discussion we can learn ways to bring greater peace to ourselves and others.
