Developing Compassion In Challenging Times

April 28 - April 30

Two nuns with hands reaching out.

A retreat with the Vens. Chonyi, Samten, and the Sravasti Abbey Community

For sure these are challenging times. While frustration, anger, and fear may be a natural response, they are neither helpful nor pleasant mind states. Compassion, on the other hand, helps us stay balanced and clear enough to maintain our own peace of mind as we help others.

Join Ven. Chonyi,  Ven. Samten, and the Abbey community to learn  meditation methods of help us develop our compassion, even in challenging times.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama teaches that compassion provides the basis of human survival.  “Compassion and love are not a luxury.,” he said. “As the source both of inner and external peace, they are fundamental to the survival of our species.”

Compassion has the power to transform our lives. Compassion has the power to change the world.

Good for beginners and experienced meditators.
