Interfaith event.

On Earth Day, Ven. Semkye and Ven. Dekyi join with faith leaders and spokespeople from throughout the Inland Northwest for an interfaith panel and vigil as part of a day-long Hope for Creation Conference.

The panel includes Hindu, Jewish and Christian leaders as well as the Abbey nuns, who will tshare a Buddhist reflection on Care for the Water. Immediately following the panel, they will offer a meditation for the closing Vigil.

Hosted by St. John’s Cathedral, in partnership with the Whitworth Office of Church Engagement and Fig Tree, the Hope for Creation Conference is designed to share a vision of hope for creation; spotlight local caretakers of land, water and air; and renew Spokane’s leadership on environmental care.

It’s a chance to hear from those impacted by the climate crisis and connect with those activelyworking to heal our rivers and lakes
