Geshe Yeshe Thabkhe has offered to teach for three more days to finish his wonderful explanation on Chapter 2 of Indian Master Dharmakirti’s text on Buddhist reasoning, Pramanavarttika, the commentary on Master Dignaga’s Compendium of Valid Cognition.
We rejoice esteemed scholar Geshe Yeshe Thabkhe’s generosity. This is a rare and precious transmission of a profound text by a profound teacher.
Pramanavarttika is considered one of the most important texts in Tibetan Buddhist education. By presenting the reasonings to prove the Buddha as a reliable guide, it lays out the rational arguments to establish past and future lives and that enlightenment is possible. It also presents the logical frameworks followed to this day in Tibetan Buddhist debate.
This is an advanced course in Buddhist philosophy. Prepare ahead and catch up with Geshela’s previous teachings from 2018, 2019, and 2020.
