The Six Perfections: Generosity
a 3-day retreat with Ven. Thubten Chodron

Friday September 2 – Monday September 5

In person and online

Abbess teaches.

Ven. Chodron continues teaching from Nagarjuna’s commentary on the six perfections, using Nagarjuna on the Six Perfections from “Exegesis on the Great Perfection of Wisdom Sutra”, translated from the Chinese canon by Bhikshu Dharmamitra.

She continues to unpack the beautiful stories about the perfection of generosity that she began last year. Watch those teachings here.

The six perfections—also translated as the six far-reaching practices or the six paramitas — describe the methods that bodhisattvas transform their minds into the mind of a buddha, a fully awakened one. These six practices are generosity, ethical conduct, fortitude or patience, joyous effort, concentration, and wisdom.

With decades of experience, Venerable Chodron brings her humor, skill, and practical wisdom to helps us deal with our inner obstacles to developing these bodhisattva trainings.

The retreat includes teachings, meditation, and facilitated discussion.
