Geshe Yeshe Thabkhe is one of the most respected emeritus scholars of Drepung Loseling Monastery. We are privileged to hear such an accomplished master teach Master Kamalashila’s instructions on the paths of meditation that lead to the fully awakened state of buddhahood.
Said to be a favorite text of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, this “Middle Section” of Kamalashila’s Stages of Meditation covers such topics as the nature of mind, how to develop compassion and loving-kindness, calm abiding, wisdom, and how to establish a union of calm abiding and special insight.
His Holiness notes, “This text can be like a key that opens the door to all other major Buddhist scriptures.”
We will use the Tibet House translation of the text. Download the pdf. You may also want to consult the commentary by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Stages of Meditation, Shambhala Publications.
