Know Your Mind: Intro to Buddhist Psychology – Part 1

A two-day online Dharma experience with Ven. Sangye Khadro

Ven. Sangye Khadro continues teachings on this topic August 21-22.

According to Buddhism, our mind has unlimited potential. It is the source of both the perfect peace and joy of nirvana and awakening, as well as of the misery and problems of samsara (cyclic existence).

In this course we will explore the mind—what it is, how it is different from the brain, some of the different aspects of our mind (i.e. main minds and mental factors), and its conventional and ultimate natures.

We will also learn practical methods to increase the positive aspects of the mind such as compassion and love, and to decrease the disturbing aspects of the mind like anger and craving.

Teachings and meditations will be streamed live on Vimeo Livestream. Daily discussions are offered over Zoom.

Registration is required to join the discussion groups. Register here.

Like all Abbey programs, this retreat is freely offered, and your offerings are welcomed.
