Salt Lake City: My Samsaric Life
October 18 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm MDT
A Public Talk with Ven. Tenzin Tsepal
In the West, our knowledge of the external world— and how to shape it to our needs—is extremely advanced. But what do we know of our internal reality? Why are we unhappy? Why do we suffer? How can we develop more peace, happiness and well-being? This is the problem with “My Samsaric Life.”
Buddhism offers a highly sophisticated understanding of the mind and karma, and how the two work together. This is no mere intellectual abstraction: it is based on the experiential wisdom of generations of practitioners and is of vital importance to understanding our life experience in the modern world.
Buddhism holds that our mind is the creator of our experience, whether of happiness or suffering. This is a powerful idea! It means we are not stuck and there is always hope.
Please join us for a thought-provoking evening of lecture and discussion about mind and karma, and how we can transform our life.
