Online: Thirty-seven Practices for Troubled Times
December 13, 2020 @ 4:30 am - December 18, 2020 @ 2:30 pm PST

Impermanence brings continual change, including a change in the Abbey’s schedule.
We will postpone Ven. Thubten Chodron’s teaching of Samsara, Nirvana, and Buddha Nature to allow more time for her to rest and recover from her recent hip replacement.
In its place, please join us for a 6-day course on
Thirty-seven Practices for Troubled Times
with the Sravasti Abbey Monastic Community
This pandemic is hard on all of us. Do you need inspiration for how to transform your daily challenges large and small? Join us for this 6-day course based on “The Thirty-seven Practices of Bodhisattvas.”
In 37 short verses, the bodhisattva Gyalsay Togme Sangpo lays out radical and extremely effective methods to transform the most adverse circumstances into the path toward peace, joy, and enlightenment.
This is a practical, hands-on course, led by Sravasti Abbey monastics, perfectly timed to deal with the pandemic and the holidays.
One Abbey nun will teach each day, so you’ll get a chance to hear different monastics share from their practice.
The course includes meditations, daily teaching, and structured group discussions.
