Emptiness of inherent existence is the actual way that everything exists—I, others, and all the things in the world. But we normally see things in the opposite way, as if they have real, objective, inherent existence. This is our basic problem, and it gives rise to all other mental afflictions and all suffering. Therefore it is very important to gain an understanding of emptiness, to free ourselves and all other beings from suffering. This course will offer a glimpse into this crucial and fascinating topic.
