Sravasti Abbey invites young adults aged 18 to 29 to explore Buddha’s teachings. Meet like-minded friends who want to find purpose and meaning in their lives. No meditation experience necessary; just an open and curious mind/heart.
One Sunday a month, Sravasti Abbey offers Sharing the Dharma Day, an opportunity for newcomers and old friends to explore the Buddha's teachings and share in community. Online and in person if you're fully vaccinated and register in advance.
Join us for the Abbey's annual one-week deity retreat. Ven. Chodron will guide us in the Manjushri practice, explaining its background and how to do the meditation. She also teaches from Chandrakirti's homage to great compassion, the opening verses of "Entering the Middle Way."
One Saturday per month volunteers come together to offer service to Sravasti Abbey and enjoy a potluck lunch. Service could include garden work, help in the forest, cleaning, or cooking — all skills and all levels of ability are welcomed!
