Weekly Live-Streamed Teachings

Thursdays: Precious Garland

6:00 pm Pacific Standard Time on LiveStream

The Precious Garland of Advice to a King is a classic of Buddhist literature by the ancient Indian master Nagarjuna, founder of the Middle Way philosophical school. He covers a wide range of topics in Precious Garland—from how to govern well to the profound view of reality.

Ven. Thubten Chodron teaches this text weekly, drawing from a commentary she received from one of her teacher, Khensur Jampa Tegchok Rinpoche. Her contemporary style and clear explanations bring this ancient text very much alive.

The teaching is streamed live and recorded for archive. You can view it as series on ThubtenChodron.org.

Fridays: Gomchen LamRim

6:15 pm Pacific Standard Time on LiveStream

This is an excellent series for beginners!

In Tibetan, Lamrim literally means “stages of the path.” It is a form for presenting, step-by-step, the understandings we need to completely develop our minds to full enlightenment. This gradual method to steadily increase our compassion and wisdom is a hallmark of Tibetan Buddhism.

In Ven. Thubten Chodron‘s teaching, this 16th century Tibetan text is immediate and relevant to modern life.

The teaching is streamed live and recorded for archive. You can view it as series on ThubtenChodron.org.
