A letter from Heather Duchscher on behalf of Friends of Sravasti Abbey

The roof trusses are in place, the Tara paintings are with the framers, and the roof ornaments will soon be on their way.

So many people are helping to build the Buddha Hall, and their gifts have made such a difference.

Together, we’ve done a lot.

A big THANK YOU to those who supported the framing of all 21 Tara paintings, which are now at the frame shop.

All the Buddha Hall roof ornaments— deer, the Dharma wheel, and the ganjiras—will soon be on their way! The roof ornaments will then be painted before making their home on the Buddha Hall parapet, just above the grand entrance.

That Grand Entrance is where practitioners from all over the world will be welcomed into the Buddha Hall to practice, study, offer service, and receive the precious teachings.

To finish raising the actual roof on the Buddha Hall, let’s also complete the Grand Entrance. Notably, the Grand Entrance will be the only portion of the building to have a shining metal roof!

Anniversary Gifts:
24469
raised of
200000
as of September 28, 2023
Let’s make a home for the deer and Dharma wheel above the Grand Entrance!
Our gifts will give the deer and Dharma wheel a home where they can inspire all who come to receive the teachings.

Please join me in offering what you can, as often as you can, to help Raise the Roof on the Buddha Hall. And follow our progress on SravastiAbbey.org.

Together, we will Raise the Roof!
