Sharing the Dharma Day

Sharing the Dharma Day
One Sunday a month, Sravasti Abbey opens our doors for Sharing the Dharma Day, an opportunity for newcomers and old friends to explore the Buddha’s teachings and share in community fellowship.
The day consists of a guided meditation, a teaching on the topic of the day, vegetarian potluck, and a facilitated discussion.
Sharing the Dharma Day topics are drawn from the book, An Open-hearted Life: Transformative Methods for Compassionate Living, by Ven. Thubten Chodron and psychologist Russell Kolts.

Offering Service Saturday

Offering Service Saturday
One Saturday per month in the warm season, volunteers come together to offer service to Sravasti Abbey. These are lots of fun—work-party days to take care of Abbey tasks—from canning peaches to weeding the garden to bringing in firewood. All skills and all levels of ability are welcomed and appreciated. Vegetarian potluck and optional guided meditation included.
