The annual Winter Retreat offers a beautiful opportunity to deepen Dharma practice. This winter we focus on the Shakyamuni Buddha practice with meditations on the gradual path (lam rim). The one-month winter retreat runs January 3-31.
One Sunday a month, Sravasti Abbey opens our doors for Sharing the Dharma Day, an opportunity for newcomers and old friends to explore Buddhism. The day includes mediation, a talk, vegetarian potluck, discussion, and fellowship.
Ven. Thubten Chodron teaches at Singapore Dharma centers including Pureland Marketing, Amitabha Buddhist Centre, Poh Ming Tse, Vimalakirti Buddhist Centre, Buddhist Fellowship, and Buddhist Library.
One Saturday per month volunteers come together to offer service to Sravasti Abbey. Service could include garden work, help in the forest, cleaning, or cooking — all skills and all levels of ability are welcomed.
